Inca Trail Choquequirao to Machu Picchu | 10 DAYS - 9 NIGHTS
Day 01: Cusco | Cachora | The Salkantay viewpoint
We will pick you up at your hotel with our bus, driving to the Cachora village. Under the transport we will pass the villages of Izcuchaca, Zurite and Limatambo crossing the mighty Apurimac river over the Cunyac bridge. Our route will start at the square in Cachora (2.910 m.a.s.l.), the first sector runs through farmed land where we will observe a agricultural fauna. Continuing our course towards the Canyon of the Apurimac river, enjoying the extraordinary sight of the Vilcabamba mountain range emphasized with the snowy peak of Salkantay (6.271 m.a.s.l.). Our camp will be situated on a hill which dominates the impressive landscape. Meals : Snack, lunch, tea time and dinner.
Day 02: Viewpoint | Apurimac Canyon - Santa Rosa
Our first sight will be the Choquequirao archaeological complex, later we are going to descend into the deepness of the Apurimac Canyon to cross the hanging bridge which unite both shores (1580 m.a.s.l.). Here begins a demanding ascent to the sector called Santa Rosa (2.290 m.a.s.l.) where our camp will be situated. Whilst walking we will observe and sense the changes of the climate and the vegetation. Meals : Snack, lunch, teatime and dinner.
Day 03: Marampata - Choquequirao - Santa Rosa
We will continue ascending in the middle of the abundant vegetation towards the Marampata sector. Following the course to the magnificence and strategically well occupied Inca Choquequirao village (3.110 m.a.s.l.) which dominates the impressive landscape. Visiting the Choquequirao archaeological complex and its surroundings, we will have spectacular sights over the Apurimac Canyon . In the afternoon we will return to our campsite. Meals : Snack, lunch, teatime and dinner.
Day 04: Santa Rosa - Rosalinda Beach - Cachora - Cusco
Descending another time to the hanging bridge over the Apurimac river, continuing the course to the Cachora village. Whilst walking we will enjoy the stunning sight of the Apurimac Canyon , the snow draped peak of Salkantay and likewise the fabulous landscape in the area. From Cachora we will be transported to Cusco city. Where you will be transported to your hotel.
Day 05: Mine Victory - Yanama (3550 m)
Day 06: Yanama | Totora
Day 07: Totora | Colcapampa( Waters thermal)
Day 08: Colcapampa | Sahuayaco (camping)
Day 09: Sahuayaco - Hot spring to Aguas Calientes (01 night)
Day 10: Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu - Cusco
